Read Running Blind by Se Jakes Online Free
So, if you haven't heard, Basics is a novella (26K / 118 pages) that's part of the Ace's Wild Series of books – it'south a multi-authored serial, and the books (novellas) volition all release one week apart for the next several months. The best part? For the first 90 days, all gain (sales & KU page reads – and, in my case, paperback sales) will go to a LGBTQ charity of the author'south selection.
For the first 90 days, all sales and folio reads for this book will exist donated to The Loft: LGBT Center. Yous tin can bring together the Ace's Wild Facebook group to get more information about the current and upcoming books in this series! **** Also, I've put the Mirror Serial into KU for the first fourth dimension!Rule of Thirds is an MM romantic suspense / series killer *** Last but not to the lowest degree, my website is getting a little bit of a freshening upwards — you lot tin can already run into the new logo (that I Honey!!!!) and they'll be some more than changes happening in the coming weeks. I'll also be updating my Stephanie Tyler site besides. Thanks to the wonderful Frauke at CrocoDesgins!!! KEEPING CADE went live on Amazon early! Information technology'due south the first volume in the new Require Club serial and it's available on Kindle Unlimited! Protection has its price, but so do fantasies… Fantasy Calendar week happens twice a yr at Crave, and information technology's ever a big hit—a mode to live out your wildest fantasy in a safe, sane, and consensual manner. Just when Cade comes in with his Fantasy Calendar week invitation, he'south not happy almost it. He'due south stoic as hell and his preferences don't seem to match his fantasy at all…and yet, despite that, he enjoys himself with Tegan and Vic. At to the lowest degree at starting time. When it becomes glaringly credible that the fantasy isn't something Cade'southward comfortable with, it'due south disruptive for the men he's been paired with, and Tegan and Vic put a stop to the scene immediately. What Cade doesn't know is that Tegan and Vic are not only co-owners of Crave, but they're likewise owners of a mercenary group, Gray Ops, that'southward run out of Crave. They've too been circumvoluted each other for years… but nothing sparks until their session with Cade. What happened in Room 4 is something none of the men can forget…but it's got nothing to exercise with a fantasy and everything to exercise with blackmail. Can Tegan and Vic assist Cade go along his secrets, while keeping all of them safe at the same time? Because the secrets threatening to spill out aren't only Cade's… Yous tin can read an excerpt from KEEPING CADE hither 🙂 ***** So, the Crave serial is fix in the MEN OF Award globe, in the bar called Require from Leap By Honor! And, in honour of that, I've put the entire Men of Accolade serial on Kindle Unlimited! Information technology's RUNNING ON EMPTY'S release 24-hour interval! Information technology'due south book 3 in the Havoc MC series, and t's available on Amazon (ebook and print), and Riptide, likewise equally B&Due north, Smashwords, iBooks and Kobo. I write each Havoc MC book as though it's a standalone, but the characters will all evidence up in the other books in the series. Here's the blurb for Linc and Mercy's book*:
You tin read an extract hither! *FYI, I'd mentioned this on Facebook, only for this volume and all past Havoc books, Gypsy's name has been changed to Mercy. It's the aforementioned character, but a different proper name. Riptide is updating all the e-files and you'll be able to reload previously purchased books with the name alter without having to re-purchase. So, I've got a brand new release out today: SINNERS is a standalone mmm that is NOT function of a series and has an HEA at the cease. It'southward also bachelor on Amazon (& Kindle Unlimited.)
In the by several days, I've had a lot of authors email me privately well-nigh the state of the industry (self-pub and otherwise. Near were pretty new writers and I found myself trying to say all of this to them, then I figured, possibly in that location are other writers out there who demand to hear it too. So this is not and then much almost the current scandal but more virtually the industry in full general, peculiarly for newer writers who are like "wtf is wrong with this manufacture?" (and honestly, how much time exercise you take because we can sit down over tea)…and it's my take as someone who's been in this manufacture since fucking forever. Or 18 years. Dude, I used to send out SASE envelopes in order to get my rejections, okay? I come up from the days where, if you didn't get an agent, you didn't get a publishing deal and therefore, your proper noun never got a shot at recognition at all considering you couldn't just put your own volume upwards and become a bestseller. Things today are both improve and worse, which is kind of publishing in a nutshell. So here goes. My version of Marge Piercy'south "For The Young Who Desire To." Permit's call this, "For those of whatever age who want to be a published author while trying to feed themselves and stay sane and that might not happen." A long time ago, an amanuensis told me that trying to earn a living writing was nearly as safe and sane as gambling in Vegas for a living. I always go on that in mind, because I'm in this business organization considering I honey writing. That's why I struggle with the business end of things but I'm willing to take information technology on because I'yard grateful that I tin be my ain dominate. I remember sitting down with a lawyer years ago to create a trust for my daughter–he looked at i of my very first publishing contracts and said, "Why would anyone ever sign annihilation like this? It'southward horrible for the writer." And I was like, "Aye, and I signed it because that's the simply way to become going in the management I demand to go in." No literary lawyer would've blinked an eye at those contracts at the time. You exercise what you need to do in guild to make your thing happen. I've seen so many things come and go in this industry. I call up when self-published authors kicked the doors downwards and I was pretty grateful because again, I go to be my own boss and work in traditional publishing at the same time. And for me, like it is for many of you, writing is besides healing. It's my escape. My pure pleasure. I can't not write. Making a living writing and getting name recognition and growing a readership was always a crapshoot (I still think that it's like less than 5% of authors ever sell more than 5K copies of their books over a lifetime) and information technology'south always going to be a crapshoot. And there are ever going to be people who exercise annihilation in their ability to get there, with scruples or without. So go on in mind that merely because someone's got a formula to game the system, information technology doesn't hateful they're always going to be able to practice so, because the manufacture changes. Like, changes so fast you could get whiplash. Like, remind yourself that this too shall pass, and it might brand things ameliorate or it might make y'all get, 'remember the good old days when all we had to worry most were the Amazon algorithms?' And it's also about reminding yourself that people will buy a volume a month from an author times a hundred, which means in that location are a shitload of readers out there! I mean, the corporeality of books I buy a month myself is staggering. So at that place's a marketplace need. It'due south nearly knowing where you lot fit into the marketplace. Or where y'all tin fit in. I always tell people (editors particularly) to recall of my work in picture show terms, like The Expendables. I'm not going to win a shitload of awards and my writing is not gorgeous, but readers volition go alpha males, sex, angst, sarcasm and lots of explosions in my books. That'due south my wheelhouse and it can work within a wide-diversity of stories that I can tell in my voice, and my voice makes my work unlike from anyone else's. And then know your strengths and write to those. And try things that you don't think are your strengths, but might exist. Fuck writing what you know–write what you lot desire to read. Retrieve that this unabridged business is congenital on risk, and you're going to accept to have a lot of them. Some will pan out and some will leave you sobbing in the corner. Even with a publisher behind you with a swell marketing plan, your book tin can tank. No one knows what makes a book have off, thus, the gamble. Accept it and motility on. We all start in the same identify–with a kickoff draft, wondering if it'south really any good. And honestly? Information technology'due south kind of cool when you think about it. Don't go so caught upwards in the drama that you lose your way. Similar if you don't get your writing done for the day or the calendar week just you can tell people in great detail most the #CopyPasteCris scandal and you're not ane of the authors who was plagiarized who has to know all of the details (considering holy fuck, I feel terrible for said authors), then you demand to re-evaluate. You will survive without knowing all the shit that happens in corking, exhaustive item. Don't turn your caput to look into the other lanes while y'all're swimming ( or writing) considering that will slow your finish down. Y'all should be swimming as fast equally yous can, anyhow, trying to break your own records, not other people'due south. Accept a few minutes every one time in a while to capeesh the proficient things that have happened in your career. Remember your first reader letter / email. Print that out and keep it where y'all tin see it. Considering anyone who'southward had any level of success volition tell yous that the fear / worry / panic of this concern grows right along with your career. It'southward not similar, "once XYZ happens, I'll be set." Trust me. New opportunities open up constantly. New publishers will open up. New means to gain recognition will happen. The majority of authors in my genre are an astonishing force when they rally together to get something done. And publishing will e'er be the wild west, as it were. Was? Were. (Where's my editor?). You've got to survive and evolve. It'due south always about taking a gamble, recall? It's not an piece of cake business, it's never going to be and it shouldn't be. Non everyone's going to succeed in the end, which makes it no dissimilar than annihilation else in life. If you notwithstanding want to effort, start by finding your people, the ones who will go along your secrets and let yous bitch and moan to them for a short while before telling y'all to 'forget it and get write.' Remember, scandals come and go in this part of our world. Then does the ability to brand coin. There's e'er going to be something to milkshake your faith and rock your globe and make you question why the fuck you practise this. Make sure the answer is, "because I honey writing" … because that's the only thing that makes all of this worth it in the end. As Marge reminds the states, "Work is its ain cure./ You take to like it better than being loved." If you pre-ordered from Riptide, it'southward available now! Besides, Amazon has a pre-gild link up every bit of today as well (altho the paperback is live) and the ebook won't become live until sometime tomorrow). I'll add together Barnes & Noble and Kobo as those links populate over the adjacent few days.
IF I EVER: Hell or HighWater 4 – releases January 21, 2019
Pre-order from Riptide! Cover reveal coming 12/24/18 in my Facebook Group. Proper reading order is a request I get a lot, so I figured it would exist easier to link to information technology rather than retyping information technology every time I get asked. And since so many of you enquire, I realized that the more than books I have, the more complicated this gets. So I'm going to requite you ii dissimilar scenarios below, depending on where you've already started. Option i:In the past, I've suggested that people read my books in the order I wrote them. This makes the most sense, because every bit I went forth, I mention other characters in unlike books and then you can encounter the start of unlike characters. As an avid reader myself, I love it when I can spot a character from an writer'due south world in another one of their worlds. Then if you similar this option, you'll want to showtime with: The Men of Laurels Serial (books 1 – six are listed in guild below & in Book 5, yous'll encounter Prophet'southward proper noun) Men of Honor, Volume one Men of Honor, Volume two Men of Laurels, Volume iii Men of Honour, Book four Men of Honor, Book v Men of Honor, Book half-dozen No Boundaries (It's a spin-off of Men of Honor & it has a new couple PLUS the trio from Bound By Law) Free Falling (It'due south an EE book with Bluish & Mick and you lot become a chance to meet Prophet) Costless Falling, Volume 1 Phoenix Inc, Book 1 Catch A Ghost (Hell or Highwater Book 1) Long Fourth dimension Gone (Hell or Highwater Book 2) Dirty Deeds (Dirty Deeds Book 1) (I know it's technically its own serial but trust me, this works) Daylight Once more ((Hell or Highwater Book iii) This runs forth the aforementioned exact timeline as Muddied Deeds) Non Fade Away (Hell or Highwater novella aka Volume 3.5) If I Ever (pub date coming soon!) (Hell or Highwater Book 4) Hell or High Water, Volume i Hell or High Water, Book 2 Muddied Deeds, Book 1 Hell or Loftier H2o, Book 3 Hell or High Water, Book 3.5 Hell or High Water, Book 4 (from this point, you'd need to read Muddy Lies & Muddy Love if they're written when you lot're reading this. As of Oct 2018, they are being written) From here, at that place are standalone serial / books that really can be read at any fourth dimension: The Havoc MC serial (Running Wild, Running Blind & the forthcoming Running on Empty) You'll see some of the same characters but each volume is truly stand solitary Havoc MC, Book 1 Havoc MC, Book 2 Havoc MC, Book 3 The Inked series (Hold the Line & Thirds) – total standalone books Inked, Volume ane Inked, Book 2 Rule of Thirds – full standalone and also function of the Mirror Serial (I wrote this as Stephanie Tyler, & the other 2 books in the series are m/f books in instance yous're interested in those too!) Mirror Series, Volume 2 No Like shooting fish in a barrel Way is a novella that's office of a Riptide Anthology & Part of the BlueWater Bay series. Temperance is volume 4 in a serial called Defiance. The commencement three books are m/f. I wouldn't exactly call this book standalone just wanted to include it considering it is m/1000. I've described the serial as Sons of Anarchy meets the apocalypse – and it's a New Adult serial. You lot can order the total series here 🙂 Defiance, Book 4 * * * * Option 2:Now, I told you lot I'd requite you an alternate fashion to read. I have readers who adore the Men of Honor series and I have readers who admire the Hell or Highwater series (and I have readers who adore both)…but most readers have a more favorite series. Men of Honor has its own definite experience. They're angsty and they're very hot. There'due south probably a touch of suspense in each of them but the main focus is the relationship between the men. Hell or Highwater (and EE & DD as well) have a very action-adventure, milrom suspense feel. Although they're hot in their own right, they're much more action-packed. It's very hard to explain the differences between the two–my writing voice is the aforementioned but each series has its own feel. Also, the Men of Honour series came first, then I improve with every book I write. Only Hell or Highwater is definitely more…complicated. And again, those standalones listed above tin can be read someday, in any order. I hope this helps!!! aka, the 5 stages of grief, lock-pick fashion… Yesterday: 8 Year Old Boy Child (aka Mr. Innocent in the picture) Mom, the bathroom's locked merely the key's not working! Me: Let me try. *tries but key doesn't go in. Tries to shove central in* Did you stick anything in hither as well the key? 8YO: No. (aka Denial) Me: We'll take to expect for dad. *goes back over to work & notices the missing paperclip that was property papers together* Are you certain you didn't put anything in the lock? Like a paperclip? 8YO: Nope. Me: Where'southward the paperclip? *echo this line of questioning for i/2 hour, until my threats of searching the garbage to observe paperclip with cleaved slice leads to side by side claim that paperclip supposedly broke *non* inside the lock, and so eventually leads to…* 8YO: You're going to exist mad. *insert yelling here* (aka Anger) 8YO: Okay, I was watching this YouTube video on hacking and they were showing how to open a lock with a paperclip. *pauses and asks with straight, cute confront* Does this mean I tin't become that toy y'all have hidden in the box upstairs? (aka Bargaining Phase) Me: In the box you lot weren't supposed to look in? So no. Definitely non. 8YO: I'm then mad at myself! (aka Depression) Me: *calls locksmith* Locksmith: Y'all should never have a doorknob on a bathroom door that requires a central. Me: *in surprisingly controlled vocalism* You installed it. Today: Locksmith: I constitute the piece of paperclip inside the lock. Your son really did a good job – he merely didn't accept the right tool. *shows the right tool* Me to Zoo: I judge we should purchase him ane and give him a doorknob to practice on. (aka Acceptance) Information technology's Bram & Sweetness's book release twenty-four hours!!!RUNNING BLIND is available everywhere you buy your ebooks and print books (and I'll be populating the order links on the book page as the book goes alive everywhere). You can read Chapter 1 here 🙂
In other news, if yous didn't hear, I handed in IF I EVER (Prophet's 4th and terminal book!) to my Riptide editor this past Friday 🙂 I'grand assured past Riptide that you won't have to wait too long for publication and I'll let you know when / as I'g editing. And one more re-release – I've finally gotten NO BOUNDARIES back up for sale (I got the rights reverted to me from Samhain and I had to reformat and all that adept stuff)…over again, I've just hit publish so the links will take up to 72 hours to repopulate. This book series is a spin-off of Men of Honor and it includes Constabulary / Paolo / Styx from Bound Past Constabulary. Again, thanks for the patience and trust in me. I know it hasn't been easy and trust me, it hasn't been easy for me. I've gotten some amazingly supportive emails and messages (and I love y'all guys for that), and some not so supportive (aka people emailing to let me know they just threw my books into the garbage) and all I can say is, having a chronic illness sucks. Having ii and not knowing it? Sucks even harder, and yeah, it does mean that I barely had the free energy to be a mom, and yep, it actually was also hard to answer emails / post blogs / write books. Honestly and literally. More on that afterward, merely for now, I'1000 back up and running and writing. I've done more writing (and finishing) in the past month than I have in four years and thanks to finding the right doctor, I can finally say that I'thousand going to be continuing. XOXOXO, SE
